My booth--not my truck!

Well I'm back from the Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair. I'm glad I went. It wasn't as busy as I'd have liked, but I see the potential. I met many very nice people, both artists and shoppers. The woman next to me was there with her niece. Two very fun gals!
I need to keep in touch.

The weather was colder than I thought it would be, so I was a bit chilly. It was pretty windy too. One of the organizers came around with extra jackets she brought from home. They really want to take care of us artists!

I'm looking forward to going back next year.

I have to get back to work! I will list a few charms Tues on Etsy.

Sneak Peak

Just a couple of new pieces!

****************************************************************
The internet is an odd thing. I can't imagine not having the web, blogs, and email. But does it bring us closer together? I think yes, but with qualifiers. How many people spend hours in front of a computer screen instead of going out into the "real" world? I love to go online, but sometimes it is just too much. It is too easy for me to get sucked in. Reading my email leads to a website, leads to a blog, etc and etc. It's like laying in bed at night, with your mind racing. One thought leads to another, until it is a mystery how you got where you ended up.

I was thinking about this tonight. I recently was contacted, because of the internet, by two friends from a while back. I may not have heard from them if it wasn't for cyberspace or whatever it is called these days. And I'm glad. I have moved so often in my life and I have never been very good at keeping in touch.

I think of others I have "met" online. I would love to really meet these other artists sometime. Maybe I'll get used to the new world. The world in which you may never actually shake a friend's hand or ever hear their voice. Not sure though.

Happy Mother's Day!

My ubiquitous white tent. Now I'm officially an artist! Ha! Ha!

Unfortunately, right out of the box, one cross brace was bent a bit and another bent and cracked! No time to return it, so I guess I have to make do for now.

St Paul Craftstravaganza

Look at it! My bracelet was on the cover of the Minneapolis Star Tribune! Very exciting.
I had a lot of fun on Saturday. Though I was too busy to shop myself. People never seemed to stop coming. I met a group of great ladies that have their own altered art gatherings. I wish I lived nearby. I got to chat with two women I took a class with last August. I went through ALL my business cards! So many very kind and enthusiastic people
A few shop owners showed interest in carrying my artwork. Before I left the area, I did leave quite a few things at "I Like You" in Minneapolis. A great shop!
Now back to work on my next sale.

I love my charm bracelets, but they aren't for everyone. I'm going to start on some lovely charm necklaces. Not as many charms, but hung from hand dyed silk ribbon.

***more exciting news to come...***
